SPRINGVALE

The Project Area is in South West Queensland, situated between Boulia and Bedourie and covers 3000 Km2 of the flat lying uraniferous weathered Toolebuc formation which occurs at shallow depth throughout the area.

The Springvale tenements cover an area that is prospective for sedimentary uranium mineralization. Huge volumes of the Toolebuc Formation have been eroded in the Springvale Project and surrounding areas and the uranium vanadium and molybdenum released from the Toolebuc have moved through the Hamilton – Georgina River system.

The area is also prospective for "mound spring model" precious metal orebodies and several other commodities including rare earths and diamonds.

The targets are uranium roll front style orebodies developed in and adjacent to the weathered Toolebuc formation and in the channel sediments of the Georgina-Hamilton river system.

The Toolebuc formation contains significant uranium vanadium and molybdenum and occurrences of uranium minerals are known in the Project area. Airborne radiometric surveys show large areas of strong uranium channel radiation, and logged stratigraphic drill holes in the area show pronounced gamma radiation anomalies.

The area has alkaline carbonate water mound springs that are expected to facilitate the leaching and transport of uranium, and the weathered Toolebuc Formation is a source of large quantities of vanadium. These factors increase the likelihood of the formation of uranium orebodies.

The vanadium and molybdenum in the oxidised Toolebuc Formation have been exploration targets in the past and major Vanadium/ Molybdemum resources are being outlined. Metallurgical test work has shown that vanadium and molybdenum are subject to leaching with both acid and alkaline leachants which opens the possibility that a uranium orebody in the Project area could be amenable to alkaline in-situ leaching with recovery of uranium, vanadium and molybdenum.
