The Tapan project hosts a medium to high grade thermal coal resource located adjacent to the village of Tapan, approximately 200km’s south of the capital Padang.
Adavale Resources Limited has completed the acquisition of PPA – the company that held the Tapan concession – through Adavale Nusantara Resources (a wholly owned subsidiary).
Prior to acquisition the company had carried out substantial exploration on the project and had identified a resource of 2.15Mt measured 1.5Mt indicated and 5.4Mt inferred. This initial program was carried out on less than 20% of the concession area and follow on exploration is expected to substantially increase the size of the resource.
The proximity of the project to the world’s emerging markets is excellent.
The company is in the process of expanding the resource base by acquisition and application for extensions of the existing portfolio.
